ROCKS FERRY RESERVE

Public BBQ

Tucked away in Wauchope's backstreets, Rocks Ferry Reserve offers a peaceful riverside escape along the Hastings River. This well-maintained park showcases remarkable resilience, having been lovingly restored after major flooding washed away much of the original facilities. The barbecue facilities provide a scenic spot for family meals, though visitors should allow extra time as the equipment can be leisurely in its cooking pace. A picturesque 2.6-kilometre riverside walk winds through the reserve, perfect for morning strolls or evening constitutionals. The boat ramp makes it popular with fishing enthusiasts and jet ski riders, while shaded picnic areas and a children's playground ensure families have plenty of space to relax. Come sunset, the river views become particularly spectacular, offering that quintessential Australian outdoor dining experience beside the gently flowing Hastings.
